Why is this called Smore?
We wanted to create a fun and unintimidating magazine. A magazine that would make science learning an enjoyable and unforgettable experience. And we couldn't think of a better word than Smore to associate with that experience. Plus Smore also can be interpreted as Science-more. Win-Win.
Can't boys read it too? Why do we feature women scientists on covers?
Absolutely!! Smore is far from being a girly magazine. We see no reason why boys cannot read it too. We believe that a future of gender equality and diversity in STEM fields can only be achieved if both boys and girls are shown powerful female role models who have challenged gender stereotypes and achieved success.
What’s the recommended age for readers?
Smore is recommended for ages 7+. But really anyone who is curious about the way our world works should read Smore. Through our engaging articles, we hope to push the boundaries of how you think about science.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship internationally. Additional charges apply for shipping copies outside of the USA. Shipping is an additional $20.
Where can I buy Smore other than Smore website?
You can purchase Smore subscription through one of our partner subscription agencies. Currently, we are signed up with most of the leading agencies including EBSCO, WT Cox, Discount Magazine and Magazine Subscriptions PTP. Digital content is available through EBSCO’s digital content service provider Flipster.
When will I start getting my subscription?
Depending on which month you order it could take from 2-8 weeks to get your magazine if you are a subscriber in the USA. International subscribers can expect to receive their magazine in 8-10 weeks.
How can I cancel my subscription?
While it will be hard for us to see you go, we make the whole process easy for you. To cancel your subscription, please send an email to info@smoremagazine.com with the subject line "I don't want my Smore anymore" and we will take care of it.

What kind of books are in the Smore Box?
In each box, you will receive one theme-based children's fiction or non-fiction book.
How are the books selected?
The books are carefully curated by our team with feedback from children's educators, kid reviewers, and parents like you. Each book is picked for its ability to make the biggest impact, and bring great joy to our young readers.
Why do some of the books have a dot or a mark at the bottom edge?
Publishers mark excess inventory with a small dot, a line or a stamp to make sure it does not get returned. This also makes it possible for us to purchase brand new books at great prices and pass those savings to you.
When will my first box arrive?
Depending on which month you order it could take anywhere from 2-8 weeks to get your box. Smore Box is currently unavailable for international shipping.
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
To cancel your subscription, please send an email to info@smoremagazine.com and we will refund you for any unshipped boxes.
What if we get a book we already have?
At Smore we believe that when you give someone a book, you give them the possibility of a whole new world. If you happen to get a book your child already has, we encourage you to share the book with your child's classroom, gift it to a friend or donate to a local charity and give a child the possibility of new worlds.
